There are over 500 Pepper Lunch locations worldwide, and the first ones in the Southeastern U.S. are coming to Florida.

Today, the Japanese-born experiential fast-casual teppanyaki concept announced that its inaugural Tampa Bay location aims to open in Pinellas Park by September.

The restaurant, situated at 4699 Park Blvd., will accommodate 38 seats within a 1,435-square-foot dining area, with an additional 25 seats available on the 500-square-foot patio. Pinellas Park’s Pepper Lunch will be owned and operated by the Tampa-based Majestic Restaurant Group, known for its management of Zukku concepts across the Bay area, as well as Lings Dumplings and the Han Hand Roll Bar. The group has ambitious plans to open 10 more locations in and around Tampa Bay, Orlando, and Gainesville over the next five years.

The press release also notes that the Pinellas Park store “represents the first modern prototype design in the new era of Pepper Lunch, following the U.S. parent group, Hot Palette America Inc., taking over American operations for the brand.”

Established in 1994, Pepper Lunch prides itself on providing a delightful dining experience for under $20. Their menu offers a variety of options including steaks, teriyaki, and pasta-based dishes, along with the signature “Pepper Rice”—all served in sizzling pans for patrons to customize and cook themselves.
